Aam Aadmi Party raps Punjab Government for Batala acid attack incident

Ludhiana, March 18, 2016: Aam Aadmi Party today condemned the Punjab Government for having failed to check the over the counter sale of Acid which lead to another attack on innocent school girls in Batala.
Aam Aadmi Party Women Wing Punjab President Prof.Baljinder Kaur who was in Ludhiana today to meet the family of the acid attack victim said that the State Government is directly responsible for this attack as it has failed to comply with the Supreme Court Directives on stopping over the counter sale of Acid leading to innocent women being subjected to this cruelty again and again
Prof Baljinder Kaur said that this showed the callous attitude of the Badal Government towards the issue of women security. She demanded that both the perpetrators of this cowardly attack be immediately arrested and put behind bars.
Earlier Prof. Baljinder Kaur met the family of the victim and extended her support to the victim’s mother, her brothers and the Principal of the Government School. Due to the worsening condition of the victim, she was not able to meet her on doctor’s orders. Prof. Baljinder Kaur was accompanied by the AAP Punjab Women Wing Vice President Rajwant Kaur Lotey and Sector Incharge Neeru Chandaliya and circle Incharges Ranjana, Neeru and Lalit Lamba.
