A successful One Act Play “Rahan De Vich Angayar Bade Si” organises at RGC

Ludhiana, April 12, 2023:  Ramgarhia Girls College in collaboration with Punjabi Lok Virasat Akademi organised a One Act Play " Rahan De Vich Angayar Bade Si" based on the life of Eminent Punjabi Poetess Sukhvinder Amrit, written and directed by Rajwinder Samrala, Akas Rangmanch Samrala. 

Offg. Principal Prof. Jaspaul Kaur  accorded a warm welcome to the distinguished guests; Sukhvinder Amrit herself  Dr. Lakhwinder Singh Johal, President, Punjabi Sahit Akademi, S. Surinder Singh Sunad, President, Lok Manch , Punjab, Dr. Nirmal Jaura, Former Director Dept. Youth welfare  Panjab University Chandigarh  Gazaljit Bangkok( Punjabi Poetess), Prof. Gurbhajan Singh Gill, Former President, Punjabi Sahit Akedmi and Rajinder Kaur, Director, G.S. Radiators. 

The play portrayed    the  life experiences of Poetess Sukhvinder Amrit.  Dr. Lakhwinder Singh Johal  said the theatre is not  only  entertainment; it holds up a mirror to society and influences introspect . Theatre is a pure form of art which helps to sensitize people about various issues plaguing society. The play highlighted the struggle and determination of women to achieve a secure position in society.  Prof. Jaspaul Kaur said that injustices in society to prevent women from reaching their full potential, yet women of today are touching every zenith that was thought to be impossible for a female to achieve. 

Dr. Nirmal Jaura said  the role was played by Noor Kamal in her solo performance in this excellent play. 

Prof. Gurbhajan Gill appreciated the team for this astounding play and said that we should raise our voice against social injustice
