A New Chapter in Panjab University Department of Indian Theatre: Bangladeshi Student Ranks First
Department of Indian Theatre, Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, admitted International students to the M.A. programme for the first time during the academic session 2024-25. Nayeem Raj, a student from Bangladesh, excelled academically by securing the First Position in the M.A. Indian Theatre programme.

Nayeem Raj, a student from Bangladesh, excelled academically by securing the First Position in the M.A. Indian Theatre programme.
PU Vice Chancellor Prof. Meenakshi Goyal, said, “The achievement of our first international student in the Department of Indian Theatre is a matter of great pride for PU. Chairperson, Department of Indian Theatre PU, Prof. Navdeep Kaur said, “I am truly delighted and deeply proud of Nayeem Raj for securing the First Position. This is a pride moment for our department.
Dean International Students, PU, Prof. Kewal Krishan, said, “International students have always been an integral part of the PU community, with students from various countries regularly taking admission in different departments and programmes.”
The success of the Bangladeshi student also reflects the strong academic and cultural ties between India and Bangladesh.
