Ludhiana, May 8, 2025: Aam Aadmi Party Punjab’s Working President, Amansher Singh Shery Kalsi, addressed a press conference in Ludhiana today, where he strongly countered BJP leader Ravneet Bittu’s allegations and firmly defended AAP candidate Sanjeev Arora.
Shery Kalsi stated that the Aam Aadmi Party’s politics is based on public service and patriotism, and the party doesn’t need any certificate to prove this. He alleged that certain political opponents have manipulated a video of Sanjeev Arora to falsely present it as an insult to martyrs. He clarified that the video in question was part of a public discussion where Arora was asking people about renaming a market. “This is nothing but an attempt to mislead the public, but the people know the truth well,” said Kalsi.
Taking a dig at Ravneet Bittu, Shery Kalsi remarked, “If you want to do politics, focus on development and public welfare, not on cheap rhetoric.” He further added that if Bittu had performed well in his previous roles, he wouldn’t have had to leave Congress and join the BJP.
Kalsi highlighted the Aam Aadmi Party’s dedication to honoring martyrs, noting, “Today, every government office in Punjab proudly displays portraits of Shaheed Bhagat Singh and Dr. BR Ambedkar. Our party resonates with the slogan ‘Inquilab Zindabad.’ Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann personally visits the families of martyrs and provides them with financial assistance of one crore rupees. So, we don't need anyone to teach us patriotism.”
He further emphasized that Sanjeev Arora has become the voice of the people of Ludhiana West. “Every day, a significant number of people are joining hands with Sanjeev Arora because they’ve seen through the false politics of our opponents. The Aam Aadmi Party believes in the politics of work, and that’s why the people trust us,” he concluded.
