Mumbai (Anil Bedag): The awards ceremony of the 8th Moonwhite Films International Film Festival (MWFIFF 2025), held at Mumbai’s Mukti Auditorium, emerged as a memorable celebration of cinema, music and emotions. The event gained special stature with the presence of Padma Shri Anup Jalota as the chief guest, who congratulated the award winners and warmly appreciated the efforts of festival founder Devashish Sargam Raj.
The evening paid heartfelt tributes to legendary personalities from the film and art world including Dharmendra, Manoj Kumar, Asrani, Madhumati, Pankaj Dheer and Satish Shah. Musical performances added soul to the celebration—singer Sanjay Shanglu and JamSaaz Band mesmerized the audience, while Suharsh Raj captivated everyone with lines from his popular music video “Kaafir Deewana”.
International participation remained a highlight, with Russian filmmaker Evgeny Shmelev being honoured. Films from New Zealand, the USA and India received awards across categories.
MWFIFF 2025 once again proved that cinema is not just visual storytelling, but a powerful celebration of ideas, creativity and dreams.
