9th Annual PCCM CME Concludes at PGIMS, Rohtak

The two-day 9th Annual PCCM CME, organized by the Department of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma PGIMS, Rohtak, concluded on Sunday. On the second day of the conference, a Critical Care Masterclass was held, in which medical experts from across the country delivered lectures on various aspects related to the treatment of critically ill patients.

9th Annual PCCM CME Concludes at PGIMS, Rohtak

Rohtak, October 12, 2025: The two-day 9th Annual PCCM CME, organized by the Department of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma PGIMS, Rohtak, concluded on Sunday. On the second day of the conference, a Critical Care Masterclass was held, in which medical experts from across the country delivered lectures on various aspects related to the treatment of critically ill patients.

            Prof. Dhruv Chaudhary, Organizing Chairman of the PCCM CME Conference, stated that this annual PCCM CME and Masterclass is not only a platform for knowledge enhancement, but also an important step towards innovation and excellence in critical care medicine.

            Prof. Dhruv Chaudhary stated that today's masterclass included in-depth discussions on topics such as monitoring, sepsis and septic shock, heart (cardiovascular) and GI (gastrointestinal) critical care. He emphasized that such events connect physicians with the latest research and treatment methods.

            The program was inaugurated by the Institute's Director, Professor S.K. Singhal. In his address, he stated that critical care is a crucial area of medicine, where timely and appropriate intervention can save a patient's life. He emphasized the need for updating medical skills.

            Dr. Kapil Borbake, a senior critical care specialist from Maharashtra, lectured on the effective management of sepsis and septic shock, while Dr. Srinivasan explained basic hemodynamic physiology in critically ill patients. Dr. Khalid highlighted therapeutic interventions in septic shock.

            PCCM CME Organizing Secretary Dr. Pawan Singh and Joint Secretary Dr. Aman Ahuja informed that the masterclass also discussed ICU management of critical illnesses such as heart failure, acute liver failure, acute pancreatitis, arrhythmia, diarrhea, supraventricular tachycardia.

            Four technical sessions were organized in this masterclass. The technical sessions were chaired by Dr. Sandeep Goyal, Dr. Manjunath, Dr. Tarana Gupta, Dr. Ashwani Kumar, Dr. Preeti Nara, etc. The masterclass covered the clinical management of heart failure management, acute liver failure management, acute pancreatitis, arrhythmia, diarrhea, supraventricular tachycardia, etc. in the ICU.

            Medical quiz and poster presentations were also organized during the program, in which talents and experts participated enthusiastically. This 9th Annual PCCM CME and Master Class organized by the Department of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine illuminated the medical lamp in critical care medical management.
