Ludhiana: The meeting of the district executive committee of the Communist Party of India (CPI) Ludhiana held under the chair of Com Surinder Singh Jalaldiwal condemned the anti-people,  pro corporate policies of the government during the COVID-19 crises. Briefing the meeting Com D P Maur Secretary said that the government has utterly failed to contain the COVID-19. The prime Minister had said that we had won the Mahabharta in 18 days and will defeat Corona in 21 days. At that time there were only 470 cases but now there are nearly 3.5 lakh cases. People are finding hard to get the treatment. Condition of the quarantine centers pathetic. Because of restrictions people cannot raise their voice but the government is carrying on its communal and pro corporate agenda. Condition of the workers and the MSMEs is deteriorating. The ordinances regarding agriculture will ruin the farmers and threaten our food security. This will add to hunger and diseases in the coming period. The RBI has admitted about the economy going to doldrums. He also condemned increase in the electricity charges and rates of diesel  and petrol. Keeping all the above the 9 left parties will organize protest on 8th July. Meeting also decided to support trade union action
