87 Youth donated blood in blood donation camp held in Press Club Zirakpur

Zirakpur, December 9, 2021: A blood donation camp was organized outside the Press Club at Old Kalka Road Zirakpur by all the journalists of Zirakpur Press Club and in collaboration with Vishvas Foundation. The camp started at 11 am and went on till 4 pm. Indian Red Cross Society District Branch Mohali played an important role in this camp.
Vishvas Foundation General Secretary Sadhvi Neelima Vishvas said that the team of Blood Bank PGI Blood Centre, Chandigarh collected 87 units of blood under the supervision of Dr. Mehak. In this camp NK Sharma, MLA Derabassi, Deepinder Dhillon, Congress, Udayveer Dhillon, President Municipal Corporation Zirakpur, Kuljeet Randhawa AAP, Sukhdev Chaudhary, Harish Gupta, Yadavinder Singh and Manjeet participated and encouraged the blood donors by putting badges on them. National Trophy Zirakpur also supported in the camp.
The officials of the Press Club said that blood donation is a great donation. Giving blood to a needy person can save his life. Generally, people have a mentality that donating blood causes weakness in the body. This is misleading information. There is no weakness due to blood donation and within a week the blood supplied is supplied and new blood is circulated in the body. He has appealed to the youth to take a pledge to donate blood and must donate blood in life. All the blood donors who came to this blood donation camp were encouraged by giving appreciation letters, masks, soaps, badges and gifts.
