84988 people in age group of 18 to 44 vaccinated in Kangra district in three days: CMO

Dharamsala: Dr Gurdarshan Gupta, CMO said that In Kangra district, 33435 people in the age group of 18 to 44 have been given vaccine on Wednesday, which is 11 thousand more than the target set for a day in this highest populated district of Himachal Pradesh. Within the last three days, 84988 people in the age group of 18 to 44 have been vaccinated in Kangra district.

He said that the vaccination campaign has been expedited by the State Government and the number of vaccination centers in Kangra district has also been increased.

For vaccination in Kangra district, on Wednesday, about 175 Covid vaccination centres were set up for people in the age group of 18 to 44 and vaccination facilities are being provided for about 200 people at each vaccination centre.

He said that now on June 24, 25 and 26, a vaccine facility will be provided for people above 45 years of age, frontline workers and people in the primary list.
