80 percent Candidates Appear in Panjab University's PUTHAT Test

Chandigarh, May 15, 2026: Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh today conducted the Panjab University Tourism & Hospitality Aptitude Test (PUTHAT-2026) for admission to the Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology and Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management courses at the Sector 14, PU Campus, Chandigarh.
PU Controller of Examinations Prof Jagat Bhushan informed that 138 candidates appeared for the test out of 173 registered candidates, recording an attendance of 79.77 per cent. The examination was held from 10.00 am to 11.30 am at the University Institute of Hotel Management & Tourism (UIHMT), Panjab University, Chandigarh.
An Observer was deputed at the examination centre for routine inspection and to ensure smooth conduct of the examination. Jammer facilities were also used to prevent the use of mobile phones and other Wi-Fi-enabled devices during the examination.
The examination was conducted smoothly and no untoward incident was reported. The question booklet and answer key have been uploaded on the examination website.
