Offer letters being issued during `Rojgar Mela' organised by CICU at Jagroan in Ludhiana district on Thursday.
Ludhiana, February 13, 2014: Shivram Kaler, MLA, Jagraon and Rajat Aggarwal, Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana inaugurated the `Rojgar Mela’ at Jagroan. The Mela was having overwhelming response both from Industries and youths, said Avtar Singh, President CICU.
Upkar Singh Ahuja, General Secretary revealed that senior officials from about 30 companies attended the Mela to recruit the applicants. Approximately 500 job seekers visited and submitted their Resumes. 80 applicants were issued offer letters by the various Industries for different categories of jobs. 350 resumes were submitted. CICU will create data base and circulate to the industries for their future requirements.
Amongst the prominent Industries that attended the Mela were; Vardhman Group, Bigben Exports, Nahar Group, New Swan Group, Jindal Fibres, G S Group, Rishab Spinning Mills Ltd., Eastman Impex, , Bonn Breads Ltd. Sonu Exports and Fitex Industries.
CICU’s office-bearer Rajnish Bansal, Ram Lubhaya, Vice President, S B Singh and Vinod Thapar were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Shivram Kaler, MLA, thanked the CICU for bringing Industries to the door steps of Punjabi youths to provide employment. He also mentioned that it is the need of the hour for those people of Punjab who are looking towards employment in Industries. It will help them to improve their living standard. Rajat Aggarwal said that this type of event will be organised regularly to facilitate the Industries of and the youths of Punjab.
