7th International conference on signal processing and integrated networks

Noida: The 7th international conference on Signal Processing and Integrated Networks (SPIN 2020) organized by Amity School of Engineering & Technology (ASET) was inaugurated today amidst several international speakers and delegates. The two-day international conference will offer a unique opportunity to gain insight into state-of-the-art technology and recent trends in the field of signal processing and integrated networks.
 
Honorary Professorship of Amity University was conferred upon Prof. Magnus Isaksson, Vice-Chancellor of Strategic Development, University of Gävle, Sweden and Prof. Sunil Vadera, Department of Computer Science and Dean, School of Computing, Science and Engineering, University of Salford, UK.
 
Prof. Sunil Vadera in his acceptance address shared the similarities his university and Amity shared including fostering collaborations with the industry to drive innovation. He also shared how he enjoyed interacting with researchers and has been involved in several research activities and co-supervising thesis of Amity University students.
 
Prof. Magnus Isaksson while accepting his Honorary Professorship shared his desire to do research collaboration with Amity University in the future.
 
Dr. W. Selvamurthy, President- Amity Science, Technology and Innovation Foundation called it an opportune window in which the conference was being organized with several growth opportunities present in the country across sectors. He asked the students and the faculty to network with the global minds present for lifelong connectivity and for the betterment of the society.
 
Prof. (Dr.)  Manoj Kumar Pandey, Joint Head - Amity School of Engineering & Technology, AUUP, Noida & General Chair SPIN 2020 shared the need for research & innovation and industry trends to go hand in hand for a better future. He also averred how all papers accepted and presented by registered authors during the conference will be submitted to IEEE Xplore Digital Library for Publication and other reputed journals.
 
In order to promote and encourage women engineers and scientists, the international conference also saw a session on “IEEE Women In Engineering”. The initiative to promote women engineers and scientists saw appreciation from Prof. Sunil Vadra who expressed his desire of organizing a similar session at his university. Plagiarism and Ethical Issues Related to Scientific Research Paper Writing also saw special emphasis with a dedicated pre-conference activity conducted with the students.
 
SPIN 2020 received 618 research papers from various institutions across the globe. The conference saw participation of international researchers and scientists from USA, U.K,  Canada,  Egypt, South Africa, Germany, Iran, Romania, Japan, Czech  Republic, Slovakia, Spain, Iran, Singapore, Bangladesh, Oman, Bulgaria, Israel, Italy,  Taiwan,  Sweden, Turkey and Finland. 
 
SPIN-2020 Proceedings and Book of Abstracts was also released during the inaugural ceremony.
 
Drawing widespread interest from institutes within the country as well the conference saw participation from BITS Pilani, MNIT- Jaipur, MANIT- Bhopal. JNU Delhi, Aligarh Muslim University, BITS Mesra, Thapar University, NIT Jamshedpur, NEHU Central University, NSIT Delhi, Jamia Hamdard University, Central University, Tezpur, IGDTUW Delhi University and Institute of Radio Physics, Calcutta.
