73rd Republic Day celebrated by Customs Commissionerate at Ludhiana

Ludhiana, January 27, 2022: The 73rd Republic Day was celebrated on 26th of January, 2022 by the Customs Commissionerate, Ludhiana in the premises of Hqrs. Office, ICD GRFL, Sahnewal, Ludhiana.  The celebrations started with unfurling of the National Flag by Ms. Vrindaba Gohil, Commissioner of Customs, Ludhiana and singing of the National Anthem thereafter. 

Customs Commissionerate Ludhiana also celebrated International Customs Day (ICD) 2022 on 27.01.2022. In view of the persistent and elevated concerns related to COVID-19 and to ensure that all social distancing guidelines are adhered to, this year also all the field formations/directorates celebrated International Customs Day following the extant State COVID 19 guidelines. This year the theme of International Customs Day is "Scaling up Customs Digital Transformation by Embracing a Data Culture and Building a Data Ecosystem". To reflect upon the theme, Customs Ludhiana organized a webinar on key reforms w.r.t. the digital initiatives being undertaken by the Indian Customs for the ‘Ease of Doing Business’. The webinar was dedicated to create awareness among the stakeholders about various path breaking reforms being undertaken by the Customs Department and to elicit feedback from the stakeholders' community with regard to their expectations and problems with a view to address the same and find quick solutions. To name a few like e-Office, eSanchit, Single Window Interface (SWIFT), Faceless & paperless Customs, Turant Sewa Kendra, ICEDASH, RodTEP, RoSCTL, etc.

All the officers, custodians and members of various trade associations like Ludhiana Customs House Agents Association (LCHAA), Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU), Federation of Indian Export Organization (FIEO), North India Importers Association (NIIA), United Cycle and Parts Manufactures Association, etc. actively participated in the webinar.
