Additional Deputy Commissioner (General)-cum-Additional District Election Officer Poonam Singh on Tuesday stated that the district administration has completed 72- percent of voter mapping under the pre-special intensive revision exercise initiated by the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab.

Ludhiana, May 5, 2026: Additional Deputy Commissioner (General)-cum-Additional District Election Officer Poonam Singh on Tuesday stated that the district administration has completed 72- percent of voter mapping under the pre-special intensive revision exercise initiated by the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab.
Singh added that under the pre-SIR activities, the mapping/matching of voters from the current electoral roll with the electoral roll of the year 2003 is being carried out. He added that at present, the district has a total of 2,700,999 voters, out of which 1,922,543 (approximately 72%) have already been matched by the BLOs.
In this regard, ADC Poonam Singh also conducted a field visit in Jawaddi Kalan, falling under Booth No. 123 of  Ludhiana West Constituency along with concerned BLOs Ayush Kamboj and Election Kanungo Rakesh Kumar. 
During the visit, Singh interacted with voters and sensitized them regarding the ongoing pre-SIR voter mapping work as per the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India. She also appealed voters to cooperate fully with BLOs, who are visiting door-to-door for voter mapping, and to provide the required documents to facilitate the process.
