70Th Inter Services Basketball Championship 2023-24

Jalandhar, March 30, 2023: 70th Inter Services Basketball Championship 2023-24 was conducted under the aegis of Services Sports Control Board from 27 to 30 March 2023 at Air Force Station Adampur, Punjab. 

The aim of this championship was to select players for Services Basketball team for the forthcoming Senior National Basketball Championship. 17 such players were selected during the Championship which was declared open by Air Commodore Sharad Pasricha, Air Officer Commanding,  Air Force Station Adampur on 27 Mar 23. The championship culminated in the presence of Air Vice Marshal PS Karkare, Senior Officer-In-Charge Administration, Western Air Command, Indian Air Force.  

The teams from Army Red, Army Green, Indian Air Force and Indian Navy participated in the event. Final Match Indian Navy defeated Indian Air Force with a score of 98-86 and crowned champions of 70th Inter Services Basketball Championship 2023-24. Discipline and 'never give up' spirit were the hallmark of the championship. All teams displayed a high degree of sportsmanship. 

The championship enhanced awareness among the Station personnel about the sport and motivated them to improve physical fitness and participation in sports.
