7-member robbers gang arrested, arms and ammunition recovered

Ferozepur, April 18: Tightening the noose of the robber’s gang, police have arrested seven persons and have recovered five pistols, one revolver, one country made pistol, two magazines and twenty live rounds besides two cars in two separate cases.
Giving details, Charanjit Singh SSP said that in the first case, the police arrested five members of robber’s gang. “The accused identified as Sandeep alias Billa, Gurdeep Singh alias Kali, Sagar, Vishal and Shinda were arrested following the inputs by the sleuths belonging to Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) while they were planning a robbery”, said SSP.

The SSP said that the CIA sleuths recovered four pistols (.32 bore), one revolver (.32 bore), one country made pistol and ten live rounds from the accused. “The police also recovered a car from them. “The accused have already been booked by the police in various NDPS and robbery cases at different police stations”, said SSP.

The accused have been booked by the police under sections 399, 402 IPC at Guruharsahai police station (FIR No. 78 Dated 18.04.2022).  

In other case, police arrested two members of car robber’s gang and recovered one pistol (.32 bore), two magazines and ten live rounds (.32 bore) from them. “The accused have been identified as Harnam Singh alias Nama, Ranjodh Singh both residents of Tarn Taran district. The police has also recovered two I 20 cars from the accused”, said SSP.

The accused have been booked under sections 379-B, 341, 411, 120-B at Zira Sadar police station (FIR No. 33 Dated 18.04.2022).
