Ludhiana, February 5, 2026: A seven-day intensive training program under the Yuva Aapda Mitra Scheme (YAMS) concluded today with a vibrant closing ceremony. The event marked the successful certification of 230 volunteers (218 NSS and 12 NYKS) as proficient First Responders.

Prof. (Dr.) Jog Singh Bhatia (Senior Consultant MGSIPA and Course Director) presented a 'Token of Love' to the Chief Guest as a mark of respect. In his valedictory address, Dr. Bhatia extended his best wishes to the volunteers, urging them to serve the community with the skills they acquired over the past week.

District Development Fellow Ambar Bandopadhyay lauded the volunteers for their dedication and emphasized the vital role of youth in building a disaster-resilient India. To celebrate the successful completion of the camp, volunteers showcased their talents through various cultural events, including patriotic songs and traditional performances, reflecting the spirit of unity and service.

The entire instructor team from MGSIPA—Harkirat Singh Arora (Training Coordinator), Manjot Kaur, Sukhchain Singh, Komal, Deenakshi, Pooja, Davinder Kaur, Johnson, Mandeep Kumar, Ranjeet Singh Bhatia, and Saloni Sharma—was present to witness the certificate distribution.
