68th Inter Services Hockey Championship inauguration ceremony

Jalandhar, March 31, 2022: Inauguration Ceremony of 68th Inter Services Hockey Championship was conducted today at Astroturf Hockey ground, Katoch Stadium. Maj Gen Sanjay Maini, Chief of Staff, Headquarters 11 Corps was the Chief Guest for the event. 

The event commenced with an impressive March Past by the teams and was followed by the Oath Taking Ceremony. The Oath was administered by Naib Subedar Akash Chikte of Army Red Team who has represented India from 2014 to 2017.

Major Gen Sanjay Maini while addressing the players motivated them to perform their best and said that the Championship should be played keeping the highest traditions of sportsmanship in mind. He said that he was looking forward to top quality of hockey in the tournament. 

The inaugural match was played between Indian Army Red and Indian Army Green, in which Army Red won the match by score of 3 - 2 goals.
