5th Research Award Ceremony held Online by Dept. of Chemistry, PU

Chandigarh: Dr. Navneet Kaur, Professor, Department of Chemistry, Panjab University, Chandigarh received the DVS Jain Best Researcher Award for the year 2019 which included a citation and award amount of Rs. 30000/- during an online 5th Research Award Ceremony, organized today by Department of Chemistry, under the aegis of Smt. Prem Lata and Prof. DVS  Jain Research foundation.
Prof. Sushil K. Kansal, Department of Chemical Engineering, Panjab University received Smt. Prem Lata Jain award (2019) with a citation and cash prize of Rs 15,000.

The six best Publication Promotion Awards among scientists from Science, Engineering, Pharmaceutical, Medical and Dental Science faculties of Panjab University, for year 2019, were conferred to the faculty of Panjab University from various departments which included Prof. Sushil K. Kansal, Prof. G. R. Chaudhary (Chemistry, PU), Dr. P. Natarajan (Chemistry), Prof. Sonal Singhal (Chemistry, PU) and Prof. Navneet Kaur. They received a citation and prize money of Rs. 5,000 each, for their research articles published in high impact journals as Best Publication awards.
The certificates of appreciation for publishing research articles of high impact factor were endowed upon Dr. Varinder Kaur (Chemistry), Dr. Savita Chaudhary (Chemistry), Prof. Indu Pal Kaur (Pharmaceutical Sciences), Dr. Abhijit Dan (Chemistry), Dr. Gurpreet Kaur (Chemistry), Prof. Devinder Dhawan (Biophysics), Dr. Neetu Goel (Chemistry) and Dr. Aman Kaura (PU Regional Centre, Hoshairpur).

Prof. V. R. Sinha, Dean of University Instructions, in his address expressed gratitude and appreciation towards the generous contribution of Prof. D. V. S. Jain and family. The DUI articulated that such endowment funds will really support and accelerate the research activities of the University in multiple ways.

AROUND 49661 STUDENTS TOOK ONLINE EVEN SEMESTER EXAM TODAY
Around 49661 students of Undergraduate/Post Graduate/Other Professional Courses including USOL/Private appeared today in the ongoing even semester online examinations being conducted by Panjab University, informed Dr. Jagat Bhushan, Controller of Examination, PU. Total of 116 exams were conducted in 2 slabs. COE informed that the exams went off smoothly without any issues.
