500 take part in walkathon on brain stroke awareness at Shimla
As many as 500 people participated in a walkathon on brain stroke awareness at the Mall Road here on Sunday. The event, organised by Alchemist Ojas Hospital Panchkula, was aimed to raise awareness on recognising brain stroke symptoms and to highlight the importance of timely medical intervention in saving lives.
Shimla, November 30, 2025: As many as 500 people participated in a walkathon on brain stroke awareness at the Mall Road here on Sunday. The event, organised by Alchemist Ojas Hospital Panchkula, was aimed to raise awareness on recognising brain stroke symptoms and to highlight the importance of timely medical intervention in saving lives.
Surinder Chauhan Shimla mayor, the chief guest at the event along with Uma Kaushal the deputy mayor and Naresh Chauhan media advisor to CM Himachal Pradesh appreciated Alchemist Ojas Hospital’s initiative in sensitizing people on timely action on brain stroke management.
During the occasion, Dr. Gourav Jain senior consultant neurology, Dr Prasant Maskara senior consultant brain & spine specialist, Dr Iqbal Singh consultant neurology, Dr Manish Budhiraja associate director department of neurosurgery from Alchemist Ojas Hospital Panchkula, shared various facts about brain stroke management and its treatment.
While highlighting the essential role of getting timely interventions and preventive care, Dr. Gourav Jain said that lifestyle modifications and regular checkups can play a crucial role in combating brain stroke.
