Dharamsala, July 9, 2023: The metrology department has warned of flood like situation in many districts in next 24 hour in Himachal and issued a red alert.

Meanwhile amidst the red alert, rain continues to wreak havoc in Himachal Pradesh since last day.  Five people died on Sunday.  Due to the rain, a house collapsed in Shimla.  Three people died in the accident. 

A woman has died in Kullu and a man in Rampur.  

A shop collapsed at Bahang in Kullu district.  Along with Beas in Kullu, Parvati and Tirthan rivers are also in spate.  Besides this, Beas river is in spate in Mandi town.  Many highways are closed due to landslides. 

Fresh snowfall and torrential rain threw life out of gear in Lahaul.  Chandigarh  to Manali and Shimla to Manali road is closed for traffic.  

The car got stuck at Byasa Mor in Kullu. House collapsed in Kumarsain, Madhavani tehsil of Shimla district.  Three members of the same family died after being buried under the debris.  Six people are trapped in a house amid floods in Pandoh, SDRF launched a rescue operation and rescued all safely.

Three shops were washed away in Beas river in Bahang.  In view of the danger in Bahang, the area is being evacuated.  There has been flood in the Beas due to the opening of the gates of the Pandoh dam.  There has been waterlogging in Pandoh.  There is flood like situation.  Beas river is passing over the bridge in Oat.
