5-day sports trial started Lyallpur Khalsa College 

Jalandhar: Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar is constantly on the move for the holistic development of  students. The students here excel in academic field as well as sports. A five-day sports trial was started at the college to select the players for the new season 2021-22. 

Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra specially attended the inaugural function of these sports trials. On this occasion, he welcomed the sports students to join the college, wished them well and conveyed the message of giving trials with full sports spirit and dedication. He told the students that as true sportspersons if they dedicate themselves to sports and perform for the college, the college will provide them every possible facility. He also inspired the students by giving examples of students who made a name for themselves by playing and studying in the college. He added that on the first day of the sports trials in Athletics, Basketball, Badminton, Gymnastics, Archery, Swimming and Water Polo were held, in which about 155 students participated. On 03.08.2021 trials of Hockey, Kho-Kho, Wrestling, Weightlifting, Pancake Silat, and Wushu, on 04.08.2021 Football, Karate, Cycling, Baseball, Kabaddi (National Style) and Tennis, on 05.08.2021 Cricket, Boxing, Fencing, Judo, Rugby and Shooting, on 06.08.2021 trials of Handball, Rowing, Kayaking, Canoeing, Taekwondo and Volleyball will be held. Dr. S.S. Bains Dean Sports, Prof. Ajay Kumar, Prof. Satinder Singh and other staff members were also present on this occasion.
