Jalandhar, September 7, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organized the valedictory ceremony of the 5-Day INSPIRE Camp sponsored by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
More than 200 students from 17 different schools across Punjab were the participants in the camp. It is heartening to note that year after year brilliant students from across Punjab gather at one place breaking institutional barriers for intellectual interface and growth.
The aim of this program was to motivate young minds toward natural sciences and also to develop creative, innovative & thoughtful scientific thinking.
During the last day of the camp, Dr Pawan Kumar, scientist from Department of Science & Technology graced the occasion. Addressing the students, he emphasized on the importance of INSPIRE camp in the growth of the students. He stressed on the fact that these camps should be organized from time to time. Dr Yogesh Kumar Singh, Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, Pune lectured the students on space technology.
Dr Gopi Sharma, Department of Physics, KMV also lectured the students on glasses in detail.
Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi, Principal, KMV averred that this program is a life changing experience and plays a vital role in developing the scientific aptitude among the students. She also added that innovation & creativity are the inherent concepts of KMV and KMV was the first institution to organize INSPIRE Camp in 2011. She also distributed certificates to the participating students & to the quiz winners during the camp.
