Ludhiana, 19 January , 2014: Thriving on the success of the 2nd edition of Indo-Pak International Trade Expo, IPEX, 2014, PHD Chamber is organising the show for the third consecutive year at Hotel Gulmor, Ludhiana from February 13 to 17, said Dalip Sharma, Regional Director, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chandigarh.
Sharing the success story, Sharma said that the event has been extended by a day on public demand, both exhibitors and visitors. This year it shall be a 5-day event. “The Pak exhibitors have always demanded more such initiatives and avenues for people to people contact.”
Over 150 exhibitors shall put up their exhibits including more than 80 exhibitors from Pakistan. Like last year, the exhibitors from Lahore, Multan, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Pakistan shall be here for the exhibition, said Sharma.
“The exhibits range from the popular Pakistani onyx marble, textiles, dry fruits from Egypt and Kabul, carpets, jewellery, home appliances, crockery, quilts, besides wrought iron furniture, artificial flowers among others besides a special food court being put up by Pakistani exhibitors”, informed Sharma.
“The very objective of organising these kinds of expos is to engage masses in people to people dialogue leading to peace and harmony”, said Rajiv Bali, Chairman, Punjab Committee, PHD Chamber, quipping, “such expos and exchange of trade delegations give the visitors from across the border a firsthand experience of the scenario and understanding of the issues.”
