4 IAS officers designated as Additional Chief Secretary

Total 5 IAS officers placed in Apex Scale; 9 other IAS officers promoted in Punjab

Chandigarh, April 24, 2015: The Punjab Government today placed 5 IAS officers Karan Bir Singh Sidhu, IAS (Proforma Promotion), who is on central deputation, Karan Avtar Singh, IAS,  Nirmal Jeet Singh Kalsi, IAS, Mandeep Singh Sandhu, IAS and Dharam Vir, IAS in Apex pay scale and designated 4 officers including Karan Avtar Singh, IAS,  Nirmal Jeet Singh Kalsi, IAS, Mandeep Singh Sandhu, IAS and Dharam Vir, IAS as Additional Chief Secretary in the pay scale of Rs. 80000 w.e.f. 21.08.2014.

Disclosing this, an official spokesperson said that 5 other IAS officers including Anirudh Tewari, IAS, Vijoy Kumar Singh, IAS,  Anurag Aggarwal, IAS, R. Venkat Ratnam, IAS and Vijay Kumar Janjua, IAS have been designated/promoted as Principal Secretary/Financial Commissioner in the pay scale of Rs. 67000-79000.

Stating further, the spokesperson said that 4 other IAS officers Bhawna Garg, IAS (Proforma Promotion), Nilkanth S. Avhad, IAS(Proforma Promotion), Ajoy Sharma, IAS and Harbhupinder Singh , IAS have been designated/promoted as Secretary in the pay scale of Rs. 37400-67000 plus grade pay of Rs. 10000.
