4 Dead, 23 Injured as Pickup Rolls Down Slope Near Dharamshala
A government official said that a Mahindra pickup carrying pilgrims from Moga, Punjab, met with an accident near Village Jadrangal on the Dharamsala–Palampur road this morning. The vehicle reportedly rolled down the slope near Balley Hotel, Ikku Mod, around 7:29 a.m.

Dharamshala, August 15, 2025: A government official said that a Mahindra pickup carrying pilgrims from Moga, Punjab, met with an accident near Village Jadrangal on the Dharamsala–Palampur road this morning. The vehicle reportedly rolled down the slope near Balley Hotel, Ikku Mod, around 7:29 a.m.
According to initial reports, 29 people were on board. Four passengers were declared dead at Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College (RPGMC), Tanda, including one woman who died on the spot. Ten others sustained major injuries and thirteen suffered minor injuries. All injured persons are receiving treatment at Dr. RPGMC, Tanda.
Police said that the SHO rushed to the hospital, and necessary proceedings are underway. Further details are awaited.
