3rd Indian Psychological Science Congress concludes

Chandigarh, February 25, 2014: The 1st International and 3rd Indian Psychological Science Congress concluded today at Post Graduate Govt College (PGGC-46) with the participation of over 800 delegates from all over India and abroad.
The two-day conference was jointly organised by National Association of Psychological Science (NAPS) and the Psychology Department of the PGGC-46. A total of 302 research papers were presented during 24 sessions. Besides this, a total of 242 papers were presented through posters.
One of the highlight of the event was the Life Time Achievement Award given to Prof N K Chadha, Head, Department of Psychology, University of Delhi.
Dr Rajesh Kumar, Organizing Secretary and HoD (Psychology) PGGC-46, said, “Majority of papers were received from Delhi, Shimla, J&K, Bangalore, Aligarh, Agra, Chennai, Mumbai, Noida, Bhubneshwar, Pune, Jaipur, Bulandsahar and Khurja. Some of the delegates from UK, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Fiji and Iran.
Dr. Roshan Lal, president, NAPS said, “The theme of this congress was ‘psychological well-being’, which is as important to an individual as good physical health. Like, in all other fields of life, a psychologically sound person performs well at his work place.
