3rd Annual Sports Meet at Horizon School of Excellence
Horizon School of Excellence successfully organised its 3rd Annual Sports Meet on the school premises with the theme “The Spirit to Win.” The Chief Guest for the occasion was Principal Inderjit Kaur, Mayor of Ludhiana. The event was also graced by the Vice Chairman of Horizon School of Excellence, Bipin Gupta, President of Shri Gow Rakshni Sabha and members of the school advisory council.
Ludhiana, November 17, 2025: Horizon School of Excellence successfully organised its 3rd Annual Sports Meet on the school premises with the theme “The Spirit to Win.” The Chief Guest for the occasion was Principal Inderjit Kaur, Mayor of Ludhiana. The event was also graced by the Vice Chairman of Horizon School of Excellence, Bipin Gupta, President of Shri Gow Rakshni Sabha and members of the school advisory council.
The Vice Chairman, Bipin Gupta, along with the Principal, extended a warm and ‘green’ welcome to the Chief Guest. The event commenced with a spectacular and well-coordinated March Past by students of Classes 2, 3, and 4. The Principal formally declared the Sports Meet open. The first event of the day was an exciting Kho-Kho match between the school houses, Tejas and Josh.
The programme featured a range of vibrant presentations, including the Spirit of Sports Display (Class 2), Prop Drill (Class 1), and an energetic Half Hoop Display (Upvan). Students enthusiastically participated in a variety of races such as the 60m Race (Ankur), Hula Hoop Race (Pravesh Vatika), Make the Glass Pyramid and Run (Upvan), Lemon and Spoon Race (Class 1), Three-Leg Race (Class 2), Sack Race (Class 3), and Relay Race (Class 4).
Adding colour to the celebration, students of Classes 3 and 4 showcased a lively Bhangra performance, which was widely appreciated by the audience.
To strengthen parent–school engagement, fun athletic activities were also organised for parents, who participated joyfully, embodying the true spirit of the event.
The Prize Distribution Ceremony honoured the winners for their outstanding performances. The Chief Guest, along with the Vice Chairman, congratulated the achievers. The Mayor praised the students for their remarkable participation and acknowledged the unique initiatives of Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust and Shri Gow Rakshni Sabha.
Principal Jasdeep Kaur expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest and all dignitaries in her Vote of Thanks. The event concluded with the School Song, followed by the National Anthem.
The Annual Sports Meet aimed to instil the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline among students while highlighting the importance of physical fitness in everyday life.
