395 pump sets deployed to drain Water from Agricultural Land in Rohtak District: DC Sachin Gupta
Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta said the district administration is carrying out water drainage from rain-affected agricultural land on a war footing. A total of 395 pump sets have been deployed across the district, operating round-the-clock. Additional pump sets are also on standby.

Rohtak, September 7, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta said the district administration is carrying out water drainage from rain-affected agricultural land on a war footing. A total of 395 pump sets have been deployed across the district, operating round-the-clock. Additional pump sets are also on standby.
He informed that an E-Kshatipurti Portal has been opened for all 147 villages of the district where farmers can register details of crop loss by 15 September 2025 to receive government compensation. To ensure smooth operations, all three Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) have been appointed as Duty Magistrates with powers to designate further magistrates as needed. Village secretaries and patwaris are stationed in villages to monitor drainage, while revenue officers are continuously assessing crop losses. A committee comprising the District Development and Panchayat Officer, Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry & Dairy, and Deputy Director of Agriculture has been formed to review and ensure availability of cattle fodder in the district.
The DC said he is personally visiting affected villages daily to review the situation and appealed to villagers to extend full cooperation to the administration. Officers have been directed to remain in the field, monitor water levels in all drains and embankments, and ensure uninterrupted power supply at drainage sites. 24x7 Flood Control Rooms have been set up at the Mini Secretariat, Rohtak (01262-230401), SDM office Rohtak (01262-244151), Mini Secretariat Meham (01257-233148), and SDM office Sampla (01262-263046) for public assistance.
