3 week long training program commences at PU

Chandigarh, November 15, 2021: The DBT-Skill Vigyan Program on "Trends in Immuno Techniques" at the Department of Biochemistry, Panjab University, Chandigarh was inaugurated today by Prof. Bhavneet Bharti, Director Principal, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences (Mohali). Prof. Bharti felt that such training programs are very helpful in building bridges across sciences, which is the need of the hour. The Faculty Training Program is funded by the Department of Biotechnology, New Delhi and is coordinated through the Skill Vigyan Center at the Punjab State Council for Science & Technology, Chandigarh. 
The course coordinator, Prof. Archana Bhatnagar informed that participants from Chennai, New Delhi and Punjab participating in this three week long program will receive training on key discipline specific techniques by experts. Prof. Navneet Agnihotri, Chairperson of the department highlighted the role of immunology in current scenario and contribution of the department of Biochemistry in different training programs. 
Dr. D. Bakshi, Joint Director, Skill Vigyan Center, PSCST explained different schemes which will be of help to students for getting trained and become industry ready.
