Winners being awarded on concluding day ceremony of the three-day Badminton Championship organised by Sutlej Club, Ferozepur.
Ferozepur, January 14, 2014: The three-day Badminton Championship organised by Sutlej Club, Ferozepur concluded on Tuesday. Kamal Sharma, President, Punjab BJP participated as the chief guest in the closing ceremony.
In his address, Sharma praised the initiative taken by the organisers and announced a sum of Rs.1 lakh for the club. He also praised the players who participated in the tournament and made it successful.
Pranjali, Diwasi and Saloni were declared winners in the age group of 14, 17 and 19, respectively. Maneet Bindra, Gurpreet Singh, Akshay stood first in the same age group (boys). Akshay won the boys single championship and Shelja Puri won the girls single championship. Mixed double championship was won by Mohd Feroze and Milap.
