26 deserving school students get scholarship

Chandigarh, August 25, 2025: Twenty six brilliant and deserving students from three schools were awarded S.Tarlochan Singh Kohli Memorial Educational scholarship of Rs.10,000 at a function organised by Rotary Club Chandigarh here today.
Rotary Club President Abha Sharma applauded the family of late Satbir Singh Kohli, who had taken it upon himself to perpetuate the memory of his late father Tarlochan Singh Kohli, and instituted the scholarship about five years back with Rotary Club Chandigarh, to perpetuate the legacy of educating the young minds.
Jagmohan Kaur Kohli wife of late Satbir Singh Kohli, gave away the prizes to the deserving children which included 14 girls and 12 boys from Government Senior Secondary School, Saketri village, Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 16, and Dev Samaj Sr Secondary School, Sector 45.
Each student was given the first instalment of Rs.5,000 each through bank transfer and the remaining 50 percent of the amount shall be credited to the respective bank accounts of the students in December 2025.
