The Annual Placement Day celebrations for the batch 2020 were witnessed today at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran which commemorated 2500 placement offers given to the students by around 100 Top Companies in the past 3 months. The major highlight of the placement drives is that 15 students have been placed at Amazon Development Centre India amongst which highest package has touched the figure 30.25 LPA offered to Computer Science Engineering students. While, the average package grabbed by the students is 7.08 LPA which is being compared to the packages offered to the IIT’s and other institutes of the region.
Along with this, Wipro, a leading global information technology, consulting and business process Services Company has selected 382 students while cognizant and Capgemini have already selected 430 and 427 students respectively. Other renowned companies who have already conducted placements drives at the college for the batch 2020 include Microsoft, Mu Sigma, Deloitte, Aditya Birla, BirlaSoft and others.
While briefing about the multiple job offers grabbed by the students during the placement drives, Navneet Singh, Deputy Director Operations, CGC Landran said, “The placement drives have just begun and around 800 students have already bagged more than one placement offer.”
“The average package offered to CGC Students is highest in the region and we are constantly working towards producing Industry ready professionals.” said Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chairman, CGC Landran and Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, CGC Landran, while bidding farewell to the students and encouraging them to make their institution proud by becoming valuable assets to their respective companies.
Victory march, a flash mob by freshers cheering the soon-to-be pass outs, cultural events, DJ Party and fashion show made up the celebrations.
