25 candidates withdrew their nomination papers in Kangra district

Dharamsala, October 30, 2022: According to the official press release, now 91 candidates are in the fray from 15 assembly seats in district Kangra for the general elections to the Himachal Pradesh assembly.

On Saturday, the last date for withdrawal of nominations, 25 candidates from across the district withdrew their names from the assembly elections2022.

As the broad picture is clear for the election in the district, the maximum 9 number of candidates for a seat is 9 from Sulah assembly constituency in from district Kangra. At the same time, there are only four candidates each from Nagrota and Palampur contesting the elections.

Talking about other assembly constituencies, 5-5 candidates are in the fray from Nurpur and Jawali, 6-6 candidates are in fray from Dehra, Jaswan Paragpur, Jwalamukhi, Jaisinghpur, Kangra, Dharamshala and Baijnath assembly constituencies. While 7-7 candidates are contesting from Shahpur and Indora and 8 from Fatehpur assembly constituency.

Himachal has a 68 members assembly and Kangra district has the maximum number of 15 seats in the state.

The state shall go to poll on 12 November and the results shall be announced on 8 th December this year.
