245 PG Students get Training in Ethics and Bioethics at UHS, Rohtak
The 4th UHS Course in Ethics including Bioethics for PG students concluded successfully at Pt. B. D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak. Under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. H.K. Aggarwal, the Health Varsity is continuously striving to inculcate ethical and humanitarian values among students.
Rohtak, May 10, 2026: The 4th UHS Course in Ethics including Bioethics for PG students concluded successfully at Pt. B. D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak. Under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. H.K. Aggarwal, the Health Varsity is continuously striving to inculcate ethical and humanitarian values among students.
Course Coordinator, Dr. Aarti said that approx 245 PG students participated in the course and received training in medical ethics, medical law, professional conduct, and guidelines of the Indian Council of Medical Research and NDCT related to research and clinical practice.
With the completion of this batch, nearly 950 postgraduate students have been trained so far under the UHS Course in Ethics including Bioethics. The programme included a series of interactive sessions, case-based discussions, and deliberations conducted by expert faculty members. The resource persons for the course included Dr. Aarti (Coordinator), Dr. Savita Verma, Dr. Reetu Hooda, Dr. Beena, Dr. Jitender Jakhar, and Dr. Kamal Singh, who conducted various academic sessions during the programme.
Dr. Aarti said that the course aims to strengthen ethical awareness, responsible research practices, professionalism, and legal understanding among postgraduate medical students, thereby promoting ethical and patient-centered healthcare practices. Ethics and bioethics training plays an important role in helping postgraduate students understand professional responsibilities, patient rights, ethical decision-making, and responsible clinical and research practices.
