Ludhiana, June 14, 2025: The district administration has implemented comprehensive surveillance measures to ensure a transparent and smooth Ludhiana West bypoll process across 194 polling stations in the district through webcasting on voting day (June 19).

A total of 235 high-resolution CCTV cameras have been installed, with 194 cameras placed inside polling stations and 41 cameras positioned outside to monitor activities in real-time.

District Election Officer Himanshu Jain stated that these cameras, equipped with high-speed internet connectivity, will enable live streaming of the polling process on June 19. This setup allows the administration to closely monitor voter queues, the polling process, and overall activities through an integrated control center established at the District Administrative Complex. The live feed will ensure steady and reliable transmission of visuals from all polling stations.

"The district administration is fully committed to conducting a transparent bypoll" stated Jain. "We have left no stone unturned to uphold the integrity of this democratic process, ensuring that every voter can exercise their right in a secure and fair environment."

On Saturday, the first trail run of the webcasting was also checked by the District Election Officer Himanshu Jain along with ADC (Rural Development) Amarjit Bains and others.

District Election Officer Himanshu Jain also briefed the BLOs  about the importance of webcasting on the polling day.
