23 B.Ed. Special Education Students Qualify Punjab Special Education Teacher Test
As many as 23 students from the Department of Community Education and Disability Studies, Panjab University, have qualified the Punjab Special Education Teacher Test and received their appointment letters on January 3, 2026.
Chandigarh, January 6, 2026: As many as 23 students from the Department of Community Education and Disability Studies, Panjab University, have qualified the Punjab Special Education Teacher Test and received their appointment letters on January 3, 2026.
The appointment letters were handed over by the Punjab Chief Minister, Shri Bhagwant Mann.
The Department runs the B.Ed. Special Education course in the area of Learning Disability and is affiliated to the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), New Delhi. The placement record of the Department continues to remain strong, with a high number of students securing government positions in the field of Special Education.
The success of the students reflects their consistent effort and the Department’s focus on professional training in Special Education. The achievement has brought pride to both the Department and Panjab University.
Chairperson of the Department, Dr Md Saifur Rahman, said the accomplishment was possible due to the continuous support and guidance of the Honourable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Renu Vig. He said the Department would continue to work as rehabilitation professionals for persons with disabilities and socio-economically disadvantaged groups, in accordance with the NEP 2020 guidelines.
The Department has congratulated all the selected candidates and wished them success in their professional careers as Special Education Teachers.
