Dharamshala: The figures show that though Himachal is not a Corona free state, but still doing well to prevent this deadly decease away. There are currently 23 active cases of corona virus infection in Himachal, and the good part is this that none of these is critical condition. The most encouraging point in it is that 11 Corona positive patients have been recovered so far.
Himachal has increased its 10 new sample collection centres in Kangra district to speed up and strengthen facilities of Covid-19 testing. These centres have been established at Zonal Hospital Dharamshala, Tanda Medical College, and Civil Hospitals at Nagrota Bagwan, Palampur, Baijnath, Dehra, Jwalamukhi, Shahpur, Nurpur and Kangra. This facility would ease and enhance the speed of testing of Corona virus suspects. These centres have started functioning from April 21. Whereas from today IHBT Palampur will also start a sample investigation centre, this will speed up the sample investigation in Himachal.
Till date 39 Corona cases have been reported in Himachal, out of which 23 cases are still active and under treatment. These people are admitted in various Kovid-19 hospitals in Himachal.
Talking about positive cases, the maximum 16 cases have registered  from district Una followed by 9 from  Solan,  six from  Chamba, five in Kangra, two from Hamirpur and one case has been reported from Sirmaur so far . Three patients from Chamba district, 3 from Kangra, 3 from Solan and 2 from Una have been cured. Four Corona positives from Solan have gone out of Himachal for treatment, all of them are the contacts with the corona  positive wife of an industry director of the Baddi. The woman has died in PGI Chandigarh, and one Corona patient has died in Kangra district.
As of 19 April, 7381 people have been kept under observation, out of which 5193 have completed their 28-day surveillance period. 2188 still under surveillance
