2.2 Kg heroin recovered by BSF in Ferozepur Sector

Ferozepur, April 4, 2022: The alert BSF troops have recovered 2.2 kg heroin worth Rs. 11 crores in Ferozepur sector. As per information, the BSF troops on duty observed some suspicious movement ahead of border fencing and heard a thumping sound. The BSF troops challenged the Pakistani smugglers and fired 6 rounds but they managed to flee, taking advantage of the standing crops.
Later, a search operation was carried out during which two packets of heroin weighing 2.2 kg were recovered which were wrapped in yellow adhesive tape.
