20 Malerkotla Cops awarded DGP Commendation Disc for Exemplary Service

Malerkotla, January 12, 2024: In recognition of their exemplary service in upholding law and order, 20 police personnel from Malerkotla have been conferred the prestigious Director General of Police (DGP) Commendation Disc today. SSP Malerkotla Mr. Harkamal Preet Singh Khakh presented the awards during a function held at the office of District Police Chief Malerkotla.

The honored police personnel include constables, head constables, assistant sub-inspectors, sub-inspectors, and inspectors who have demonstrated outstanding commitment towards their duties. The DGP Commendation Disc is one of the highest honors given by the state police to its personnel for distinguished service, exemplary performance, and highest standards of professionalism and integrity.

In a commendable recognition of their exceptional efforts, 159 police officers have been awarded Commendation Certificates of Class 1, 2, & 3 by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Patiala Range and the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malerkotla.

Speaking at the event, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malerkotla Harkamal Preet Singh Khakh congratulated the awardees and said it is a proud moment for the department to have its personnel recognized for their selfless service which testifies to the high policing standards and work ethics of the force.

DGP Gaurav Yadav commended Malerkotla Police efforts in law and order maintenance and apprehending criminals. He expressed hope this honor will motivate the force to reach greater heights in public service.

The awardees conveyed gratitude for the prestigious honor and dedicated it to the people of Malerkotla who have shown faith in the police force. They pledged to continue sincere work to uphold law and protect citizens.
