Chandigarh, August 23, 2013: Directorate of Governance Reforms, Punjab has conducted 2 -days Specialized Training on e-Governance, which concluded today.
Disclosing this a spokesman of governance reforms department, Punjab said that this workshop was organised for Additional Deputy Commissioners , Directors / Joint Directors, Additional Directors, Deputy Directors; Nodal officers for of the State Government , to equip them with skills and knowledge on State level e-Governance initiatives and e- Governance projects being implemented in the state under National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) .
This training was organised in coordination with National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Chandigarh and was attended by senior officers from various State Departments and District Offices.
Rajnish Malhotra Head SeMT Welcomed distinguished officers for Two days e-Governance program on behalf of Department of Governance Reforms, Government of Punjab.
Rajnish Malhotra, Head SeMT, Punjab laid focus on importance of e-Governance Projects for the benefits of citizens. Malhotra shared NeGP Vision to make all the Government services delivery available at the citizens door Steps. He also shared information of various Central and State Mission Mode Projects being implemented for the benefits of the Citizens across State and Country.
During the 2 days program on e-Governance, participants were provided knowledge on Introduction to e-Governance, National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) GOI Initiatives.

The specialised Training Programme on e-Governance p was conducted by S.P. Singh IT Advisor, PSEGS, Deepak Wasan, Manish Arora from NIELIT, Chandigarh Centre.
Punjab SeMT Team Led by Manpreet Singh, Senior Consultant ,Programme Management Gave Live demonstration of services provided under e-District Pilot project for the state.
This 2 days event was concluded by Dr.V.N.Zade, IAS, Director Department of Governance Reforms .During his concluding address, Dr.V.N.Zade, IAS, shared his perspective on the significance of e-Governance Projects for providing benefits to the citizens and state Officials, Dr.V.N Zade ,IAS, Director Department of Governance Reforms distributed participation certificates to distinguished officers / officials of various State Departments / Offices.
