2-day Management & Cultural Fest ‘Parwaaz’ concluded at University Business School

Ludhiana, February 28, 2017: Two days Management & Cultural Fest “Parwaaz” concluded today at University Business School, Panjab University Regional Centre, Ludhiana. The two days gala event saw great response and huge footfall, especially in cultural items like Dance, Fashion Show, War of Bands, NukkadNatak, Mushaira and Star Night. Guru-The Best Manager Competition was organized to assess the managerial competencies and entrepreneurial acumen of the students through stringent assessments like psychometric test, group discussion, case study analysis and personal interview.Slum Dog Millionaire – Best out of Waste Competition witnessed creativity at its pinnacle through various teams belonging to diverse disciplines of studies. DhoondteRehJaoge – The Treasure hunt Competition assessed the cue taking abilities and inferential skills of the participants. JhoomBrabarJhoom – Dance Competition also witnessed a huge participation in various dance genres and received great applause from enthusiastic audience.

Sh. S. P Oswal Ji, Chairman Vardhman Group and Col. P. S. Sandhu, Secretary to Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University were the chief guest and special guest respectively in the prize distribution ceremony. Prof. Harmeet Singh Sandhu, Director, Panjab University Regional Centre, Ludhiana welcomed the guests and apprised the audience and guests regarding the different activities of the event and respective participation therein. Sh. S.P. Oswal during his address congratulated the staff and students for successful completion of the event.

Sh. Abhijeet Singh, Director, SPS Hospitals, Ludhiana; Sh. Surinder Singh Bhogal, Chairman Bhogal Group of Industries; Sh. Anil Kumar, Executive Director & CEO, Shreyans Group of Industries; Sh. Ranjodh Singh, Chairman & Managing Director GS Radis Group; Sh. AmanpreetBrar, Managing Director, Hoshiarpur Central Co-operative Bank; Sh. Anil Sharma, Vice President-HR, Nahar Spinning Mills; and Sh. S.B. Singh, Retd. Principal, Guru Nanak Engineering College also graced the event as Guest of Honour. Prize distribution ceremony was concluded with vote of thanks to the stakeholders by Prof. Ravi Inder Singh, Co-ordinator, UBS Ludhiana.

Mushaira and Star Night also witnessed the huge crowd. Renowned Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu poets from different colleges and universities recited their creations in the Mushaira. Sh. Mohinder Pal Gupta, Assistant Deputy Commissioner (General) was the chief guest for Mushaira and Star Night. Star Night saw the apogee of the grand finale with the mellifluous singing of renowned Punjabi Singer Mr. Dilpreet Dhillon and Sufi Singer Mr. Harmeet Singh. The cheerful crowed applauded them with their energetic clapping and dancing in trance.
