Rozgar Mela Strengthens Prime Minister’s Vision of Youth Empowerment and Employment

Panchkula, January 24, 2026: As per the directions of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, the 18th edition of the Rozgar Mela was organized at the 50th Battalion of Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP), Sector-26, Panchkula (Haryana). The programme was graced by Manohar Lal, Union Minister for Power and Housing & Urban Affairs, Government of India, as the Chief Guest. Pawan Kumar Negi, Deputy Inspector General, Regional Headquarters (Shimla) was also present on the occasion.

During the programme, appointment letters were distributed to 109 selected candidates for recruitment in ITBP, CISF, BSF, SBI, GAIL and other Central Government organizations. Hon’ble Minister congratulated all the selected candidates and wished them a bright and successful future.

Addressing the gathering, Manohar Lal congratulated all the youth and said that Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi is concerned about the youth in every possible way. The Prime Minister’s vision focuses on the education of the youth, their skilling, providing them appointment letters, and creating opportunities for self-employment. He said that today’s youth is our future. The youth who are getting jobs today will be the witnesses to a ‘Viksit Bharat’ in 2047. The responsibility being placed on the shoulders of the youth today will ensure that the country moves forward, becomes self-reliant, and achieves the goal of a developed India.”
 
On the occasion, Shailendra Singh Narkoti, Commandant, 50th Battalion, ITBP and Nodal Officer of the programme, stated that the Rozgar Mela initiative launched under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi aims to provide large-scale employment opportunities to the youth and is a significant step towards building an Atmanirbhar and Viksit Bharat. He informed that under the 18th edition of the Rozgar Mela, more than 61,000 appointment letters have been issued across the country, including the appointment letters distributed during today’s programme.

Family members of the selected candidates, senior officers of ITBP, and personnel were also present during the event.
