Rohtak, October 8, 2026: A total of 177 units of blood were collected at a mega blood donation camp organised at Baba Mastnath University (BMU), Asthal Bohar, under the Service Sankalp campaign.

Students, teachers, employees and ITI trainees participated in the voluntary blood donation drive, with female students and women donors turning out in significant numbers.

Deputy Commissioner Satbir Singh visited the camp and encouraged the donors, honouring them by pinning badges. He said blood donation was an important means of saving lives and such initiatives at educational institutions helped foster social responsibility among youngsters.

The camp was organised by the BMU’s NCC and NSS units in collaboration with the district administration, Health Department and Red Cross. Medical teams from Civil Hospital and UHSR conducted health screening and blood collection.

BMU Vice-Chancellor Prof B.M. Yadav, Registrar Prof Vinod Kumar and Dean Academic Prof Naveen Kapil appreciated the donors and volunteers. NCC officer Lt Anil Dudi and NSS coordinator Dr Manjit Kumar coordinated the camp.
