138 Units of Blood Donated at Blood Donation Camp Organized by Gain Jyoti
The NSS Wing, NCC, Rotaract Club Unit, Red Ribbon Club, staff, and students of Gain Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology, Phase 2, jointly organized a Blood Donation Camp on the campus. A total of 138 units of blood were donated by the institute’s students and staff members in this camp.
Mohali, October 28, 2025: The NSS Wing, NCC, Rotaract Club Unit, Red Ribbon Club, staff, and students of Gain Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology, Phase 2, jointly organized a Blood Donation Camp on the campus. A total of 138 units of blood were donated by the institute’s students and staff members in this camp.
It is noteworthy that the Gain Jyoti Group has been continuously organizing this camp since the year 2001 in collaboration with PGIMER, Chandigarh, thereby contributing to emergency healthcare and life-saving initiatives for over two decades. The event was inaugurated by J.S. Bedi, Chairman, Gain Jyoti Group of Institutes, while Captain Mantej Cheema, Deputy Director, Youth Services, Mohali, attended as the Chief Guest.
On this occasion, Randeep Batta, a resident of Chandigarh and a prolific blood donor, was honoured by Chairman J.S. Bedi for his selfless service to society. Batta has donated blood over 170 times and has travelled across several Indian states under his "Kashmir to Kanyakumari" campaign to raise awareness about voluntary blood donation. Randeep Batta also praised the continuous efforts being made by the Gain Jyoti Group.
Chief Guest Captain Mantej Cheema applauded the students and staff members for donating blood, stating that blood donation is a great donation that saves precious lives. He further added that there is no nobler deed than donating blood for the service of humanity. He commended the efforts of the students for humanity and praised the donors.
J.S. Bedi, Chairman of the Gain Jyoti Group, said that another objective of this blood donation camp is to familiarize students with the benefits of blood donation so that they continue to donate blood and also inspire their friends and relatives to do the same. Dr. Aneet Bedi, Director of Gain Jyoti Institute, praised this initiative by the youth in the service of society and described it as the excellent responsibility of a good citizen. Finally, mementos and certificates were presented to the donors to encourage them.
