100 km Cycle Rally by AAP to protest against VIP Culture

Ludhiana, March 28, 2015: AAP Convenor Sucha Singh Chhotepur said that the Senior Advocate H.S Phoolka, AAP leader will cycle 100 kms from Ludhiana to Chandigarh with AAP team to protest against the VIP Culture. The rally will start on 29th March from Ludhiana and will reach Chandigarh on 30th at noon.
This Cycle Rally is to protest against the rampant VIP culture and the wastage of public money on VIPs. Whereas the government has no money to pay the salaries of its employees but it is spending lavishly on their security and travel. The MLAs have doubled their salaries but the old age pensions are still pending to be distributed to the people in need and the scholarships for differently-abled persons have also not paid.
“We demand that the principle of lowest employee should be paid first”, he said, adding, “The ministers and his staff should be paid after everyone else in the department has been paid.”
The rally is also a protest against the increasing use of drugs and the government’s failure to run de-addiction centers properly, he added.
The rally will start at 7 am from sector 32 market Ludhiana on 29th March. There rally will take stops at following locations: Village Ghulal at 9am, Samrala 11 am, Bondali 3.45 pm, Khamano 5 pm, Village Khant-Manpur 6pm, Morinda which will be a night stop. On 30th March, will reach Kharar at 9am, Mohali10:30 am and then rally will reach Punjab Secretariat at 12:30pm.
