SHORTAGE of doctors in hospitals to be met shortly: Dr. Ashok Nayyar

Ferozpeur, July 27, 2013: “The shortage of doctors in government civil hospitals would be met shortly and it would be ensured that patients get all kinds of facilities apart from providing the medicines at the cheaper rates”, said Dr. Ashok Nayyar, Director Health Services and Family Welfare, Punjab after inspecting the government hospitals at Zira, Kassoana and Ferozepur.
During his visit, Dr. Nayyar also inspected the OPD, Gyne Ward, Labour Room, Blood Bank and Emergency Ward.  He was accompanied by Dr. Y. K. Gupta, Civil Surgeon,  Ferozepur.
Dr. Ashok Nayyar said, “The shortage being faced in the government civil hospitals would be coped shortly so that the patients get all types of treatments in the hospital itself”.
He further said, the Health Department has already made recruitment of doctors and it will continue in future also.  He directed all the doctors and staff to provide the best services to the patients visiting the civil hospitals so that confidence among the people is created about the government hospitals.  He also directed that the hygienic atmosphere should also be created in the hospital premises to avoid any inconvenience to the visiting patients.
Dr. Nayyar also advised the doctors and staff to perform their duties honestly, dedication and devotion as a public servant apart from attending the duty for full duty hours to avoid any harassment to the public.
