Ferozepur, July 31, 2013: District Magistrate, Ferozepur, Manjit Singh Narang,  has issued various ban orders, exercising the powers under Code of Criminals Procedures (Cr PC) 1973 Sectrion 144 which include ban on carrying of arms during the marriage functions within the Ferozepur District. 

This has been done keeping in view that normally the common man enters the marriage palaces at the time of celebrations of marriages and some time there is misuse of weapons after consuming the liquor due to quarrel which could result in loss of time.  These orders have been issued to stop this practice and will remain in force till September.

District Magistrate has also issued orders for any type of construction and stubble burning, within the vicinity of radius of 1,000 meter where the ammunition of army is dumped. This has been done as certain farmers are having their fields along the ammunition depots and they sometime burn the stubble apart from doing construction and such actions could pose a danger to the lives of the people and property apart from heavy financial loss to the army.  These orders have been issued for the safety of public and property.

In another orders, issued by the District Magistrate, for registration of names and addresses of tenants with the nearest police station.  These orders have been issued keeping in view that sometime the tenants by taking the house on rent, commit anti-society activities and there is possibility of heavy loss on this account and also a threat to the security of the nation.  These orders too will be in force up to 30 September.

In another such orders, District Magistrate, it has been banned to sell anything having the seal of government like blue light, red light, police related infrastructure, in the market, by the government or private employee, without seeing the identity card. The concerned shop-keeper will keep a proper record of such transactions and ensure to send a report to this effect every month to District Magistrate, Ferozepur.  These orders have been issued because the government employees use any such material while on duty, sell the same to the common man, which could be misused by any unscrupulous persons to create obstacle in maintaining law and order in the district.  These orders will be in force up to September 30.
