DEPARTMENTS told to submit grant utilisation certificates within time

Chandigarh, July 28, 2013: The Punjab Government has issued strict directions to all departments to submit Grant Utilisation Certificates within stipulated time.

A spokesman of the Punjab Government today said that it has been found that some departments were not submitting grant utilisation certificates in given timeframe, which leads to delay in release of more grants creating hindrances in the development projects.  He further said that all Administrative Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and Financial Commissioners have been asked to ensure the submission of grant utilisation certificates of their respective departments well in time.
