Jalandhar, July 18, 2013: City Air News, on July 12, 2013, had carried a news-item “Potholes give ugly look outside Bus Stand”.
We, hereby, reproduce the news –item for ready reference of our Readers: “A large number of potholes are seen developed outside the general bus stand here.
These potholes are proving a great inconvenience to commuters and pedestrians. The situation becomes more serious during the rainy season when these potholes get inundated with the rain water and get invisible to commuters posing threat for the accidents and mishaps.
The municipal corporation authorities of Jalandhar are adopting apathetic attitude over the period. There is a growing demand that the authorities should do the needful at the earliest.”
Finally, the Jalandhar Municipal Corporation authorities concerned have swung into action and filled all the potholes with stone bitumen. With this, people have felt a sigh of relief.
